Wealden Quilt Show 2011

10th Anniversary Quilt Show.

Dear Fellow Quilter,
Come and help us celebrate two special events at The Annual Wealden Quilt Show, our 10th Anniversary and a famous wedding. The quilt show will be held at All Saints Church, The New Hall, Chapel Green, Crowborough, TN6 1ED on Friday 29th April, 9am – 5pm and Saturday 30th April, 10am – 4pm.
The show will raise funds for The Hospice in the Weald and The Brain and Spine Foundation.
We will have the TV and the wedding cake and a display of wedding quilts made by local quilters as well as our usual display of quilts, a raffle with a Bernette 56 as first prize, traders, lunches, teas, demonstrations and workshops.,
If you would like to participate by entering the Wealden Challenge (rules enclosed) and/or having a quilt, wall hanging or patchwork item displayed in the show, please complete and return the enclosed form to me as soon as possible, or download from the above web site, latest by the 31st March 2011.

Because of the restriction of space we can only hang a limited number of quilts; therefore applications will be dealt with on a first come-first served basis.
Unfortunately due to the astronomical cost and the amount of paper work involved we are unable to provide insurance cover for your quilt/item. Most house contents insurance will cover your quilt away from home. Please make sure you check your own personal policy.

Due to the fact that the quilt show is going from strength to strength and now attracts over 500 people, I am particularly asking for everyone to HELP in someway, whether you have entered a quilt or not. I would really appreciate it if you could spare 1 or 2 hours by being a quilt angel, helping with refreshments or selling raffle tickets.

We would also appreciate donations of cakes, biscuits and raffle prizes.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this letter and we look forward to seeing you at the quilt show.

Lynette Harris.
